Dholpur gas plant starts after three years

Dholpur: The Dholpur gas based power units which were closed for the last three years became operational bringing relief to Rajasthan which is reeling under power crisis. Energy Minister Bhanwar Singh Bhati expressed happiness and said that power generation started at 4.30 am on Thursday from unit no.2. “If the unit runs at full capacity, 2.64 million units can be generated per day. Despite being relatively expensive, power from Dholpur Gas Project will provide uninterrupted power supply,” he said.

Bhati said that with power demand increasing by 29 %, state govt gave permission to the Dholpur Power Project to generate electricity.
