Devnani stresses on dispelling misconceptions

Ajmer: Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani, while addressing a programme on Organ Donation Day at Ajmer’s Government Jawaharlal Nehru Hospital on Saturday, emphasised on organ donation. “Today, the availability of heart, liver, kidney and other organs is scarce in our country as compared to their demand. Common people will have to understand the importance of organ donation,” he said.

Devnani also inaugurated the specially created Assembly Speaker Help Desk. The inauguration of a new lab in the hospital and the programme ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ were also held. He said, “There are many misconceptions among the general public regarding organ donation. We must dispel them.

The percentage of organ donation in Telangana, Tamil Nadu and many states is very good. Rajasthan will also move forward in this direction.”
