Defamation case: Next hearing on October 14

New Delhi: The Rouse Avenue Court in New Delhi heard the petition filed by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot in connection with the defamation case of Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat. The Court has extended the permission of CM Gehlot to appear through video conferencing in the case till October 14.

The counsel for Gehlot said that his statement was based on information provided by the SoG. Shekhawat’s claim of defamation was on the ground of the fact that his name did not appear in the FIR, nor was it included in the charge sheet.
