Dead trained eagle from Pak found at the border

Jaisalmer: A hunting eagle was found dead in the fencing of the India-Pakistan border near Jaisalmer on Monday. BSF soldiers saw the eagle trapped dead in the fencing. When brought down it was found that the eagle had a GPS installed in its wings and an antenna attached to it.

Besides, it also had rings in both its claws. At present, BSF is investigating the GPS installed on the dead eagle and the ring in its claws. An eagle was found trapped in the fencing of Shahgarh area bordering the India-Pakistan border on Monday morning. The soldiers of 173 BN battalion found the eagle while patrolling. The eagle was dead and trapped in the fencing. The soldiers took out the eagle from the fencing. On seeing it, it seemed that the eagle was trained and had flown from across the border.
