Dalit student beaten by school teacher for drinking from pot

Barmer: A 17-years-old student from dalit community has been beaten by his school teacher for drinking water from the pot. Bhuttaram Bishnoi, SHO, Chohtan police station area in Barmer confirmed the report. He said that on Thursday Amedaram Bheel, informed that his 17-years-old son is studying in class 12 was drinking water from the pot kept in the school campus while accused teacher Dungraram called his son and when he reached there, accused started beating him.

He further alleged that while abusing his son with caste baised words, accused threatened him that by drinking from the pot he had spoiled the water and again started beating him.
