CS, DGP meet officials in Ajmer to review poll preps

Ajmer: Chief Secretary Usha Sharma and Director General of Police Umesh Mishra held a meeting with the Superintendents of Police and Collectors of Ajmer division on various issues on Saturday ahead of the assembly elections. The two gave necessary guidelines to conduct the assembly elections in a fair and peaceful manner.

While talking to journalists after the meeting, Mishra said that the police and administration are making better preparations for the elections. Along with determining the polling stations, arrangements were also being ensured there. He said that the police are taking action against criminals so that there is no disruption in the elections. “Also, the police will increase preventive actions in the coming days. Rajasthan Police has broken the back of all the gangs active in the state and as of today no gang is active. Some people are committing sporadic incidents but police are taking immediate action against them,” he said.
