Critical news in media should be taken positively as it points out shortcomings: Meghwal

Hanumangarh: The ‘Hanumangarh Ratna’ award ceremony of First India News was organised at GM Resorts in Hanumangarh on Monday wherein, youth, players and officials were honoured for their excellent work. Cabinet Minister Govind Meghwal was the chief guest of the programme.

Praising the social concerns of First India News, Minister Govind Meghwal said that under the direction of First India News CMD Dr Jagdeesh Chandra has made its identity across the country and has definitely worked to move forward with reliable news.

“The negative news shown in the media should also be taken positively as it points out the shortcomings of the leaders and of the system,” he said.

Meghwal praised the Mehangai Rahat Camp inaugurated by CM Ashok Gehlot on Monday. “It is definitely a good initiative of the Chief Minister for the poor people,” he said.

MLA Dharmendra Mochi, MLA Gurdeep Shahpini, District Collector Rukmani Riar Sihag, SP Sudhir Chaudhary News Editor Jinendra Singh Shekhawat, Bikaner division in-charge Laxman Raghav and others were present in the programme.

Collector Rukmani Riar Sihag said that the role of media is important and First India News is doing better work and it is the responsibility of all of us to work for the betterment of the society.

SP Sudhir Chaudhary recalled the statement of Mahatma Gandhi that the media should be responsible. He said that even today it is very important that the media should play its role in a positive way.

Editor Jinendra Singh Shekhawat, Bikaner division incharge Laxman Raghav, Hanumangarh correspondent Kapil Sharma, Sri Ganganagar correspondent Sunil Sihag were also present in the programme.
