Contribute to make country independent, Thakur urges youth

Pali: Union Sports minister Anurag Thakur has called upon the youth of the country to contribute to make the country independent. Terming the scouts and guides as the future of the country, Thakur called them upon to come forward and make their contribution for nation building. Thakur was addressing the closing ceremony of 18th National Scout Guide Jamboree held in Rohet in Pali district. He said that the youths can leverage the events like jamboree being organized under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to build and strengthen their network. The minister also urged them to associate with the Fit India campaign and do physical activity daily for half an hour to stay fit. “Like Scout and Guide, every citizen should have the spirit of Team India and every citizen will have to work hard to make India a world leader in the next 25 years”, he said. Thakur also inspected the parade by scouts and guides taken out by different states. State Education Minister BD Kalla, in-charge of the district and Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Tikaram JulLY, Bharat Scout Guide President Anil kumar Jain were also present.
