Contractual JEN in ACB net for taking Rs 1.40 lakh

Sikar: A junior engineer of Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan (SAMSA) posted in Sikar was arrested by ACB while accepting a bribe of Rs. 1.40 lakhs on Monday. Police informed that junior engineer, Sandeep Kumar Chaudhary, is a contractual employee and was working as a junior engineer in SAMSA which falls under the education department.

“The complainant filed a complaint and stated that Sandeep Kumar Chaudhary was demanding a bribe to pass bills of the contracting firm valued around Rs. 35.20 lakhs. The ACB team verified the complaint and arrested the junior engineer with Rs. 1.40 bribe,” police said. The sleuths also raided the premises of the accused and are further investigating the matter.
