Cong’s 3-member committee visits ashram, assures help

Jalore: A three-member committee formed on the instructions of Congress PCC Chief Govind Singh Dotasra reached Jaswantpura subdivision area of Jalore on Sunday where Sant Ravinath committed suicide. Revenue Minister Ramlal Jat, In-charge Minister Arjun Singh Bamania, State Secretary Bhuraram Sirvi reached the spot and took stock of the situation after meeting people in ashram.

Targeting the BJP, Ramlal Jat held the party responsible for the saint’s death. “BJP does politics in the name of religion, takes votes in the name of religion. But we are not here to do politics. A factual report will be prepared and submitted to CM Gehlot,” he said, adding that the state govt will help the ashram in every possible way.

The team also met Collector Nishant Jain and SP Harshvardhan Agarwala. The committee met the people associated with the ashram and Congress leaders of the district. Revenue Minister Ramlal Jat, while interacting with media, said that the state govt is serious and action will be taken while assuring the financial assistance of Rs 11 lakhs to the people of the ashram.
