Congress MLA Solanki alleges bid to honeytrap him; lashes out at Meghwal
Jaipur: Congress MLA Ved Prakash Solanki from Chaksu, a supporter of former Deputy CM Sachin Pilot, has accused his opponents of hatching a conspiracy to frame him in a honeytrap.
Talking to reporters in Jaipur, Solanki said, “The women with the intention to honeytrap me, had made a video call. I had registered a complaint at Bajrang Nagar police station several months ago, but no action has been taken to date.”
Without naming anyone, Solanki said, “Anything can be done to silence you. But I wasn’t silenced then and won’t be cowed down even now.”
He said he has spoken with higher officials about the attempt to honeytrap him and why a case has yet not been registered.
Notably, Congress division in-charge for the panchayat polls, Govind Ram Meghwal, had held Solanki responsible for cross-voting in his report on the fiasco in Zila Pramukh polls held in Jaipur district.
Responding to it, Solanki alleged it was one-sided and made in a hurry. “In the panchayati raj elections, a report was sent by the observer within 24 hours.
I was not heard. I have also been in charge of Bharatpur. No action was taken on the complaint I had registered then,” Solanki said.
Solanki said, “Meghwal himself doesn’t know how many parties he was in.
He does not know about district and did not campaign in favour of even one person. And today, he is asking me for a certificate of allegiance towards Cong.”
