Tonk: Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi will address a public meeting in Tonk district’s Niwai on Sunday. Congress in-charge for Rajasthan Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, co-incharge Amrrita Dhawan, and PCC Chief Govind Singh Dotasra along with local MLA Prashant Bairwa took stock of the preparations in Niwai.

Later, former deputy CM Sachin Pilot also visited Niwai and reviewed the preparations. Randhawa said that Priyanka Gandhi would inaugurate Indira Rasoi, offering full meals to the needy for just eight rupees. She will then address public in Niwai.

Hitting out at BJP’s Parivartan Yatra, Dotasra said that yatras were getting poor response and the party leaders were fighting among themselves. Meanwhile, the party has set up checkpoints on all routes leading to Niwai, taking into account the substantial turnout of party workers. Vehicles transporting Cong leaders will register their worker and vehicle numbers and receive a sticker from Jaipur City District Cong Committee for identification.

Former Deputy CM Sachin Pilot also reviewed the preparations for Priyanka Gandhi’s meeting and emphasized that the party leaders are working together and will form the government again in the state.

While talking to reporters, Pilot also said that the public will assess the nine years of work of the BJP government at the Centre. He said that BJP tries to divert people’s attention in the name of religion, but the Congress party is fully prepared.
