Cong MLA’s nephew sent to 14- day judicial custody in rape case

Alwar: Virendra alias Veeru Bairwa, nephew of Kathumar MLA Babulal Bairwa, accused of raping a 43-year-old woman, was arrested and presented in the ACGM court on Saturday. The judicial magistrate sent Bairwa in judicial custody for 14 days. The victim had registered a case in this regard five days ago.

Kathumar DSP Ashok Chauhan said that the victim had lodged a case of rape against Virendra Bairwa at the Kherli police station. The victim alleged that the accused had been raping her for the last two years by threatening to kill her. Police registered a case on the night of July 31 and started an investigation.
