CM’s major push to wellness tourism!

‘Centre of Excellence in Panchakarma’ worth `49.71 cr at Jodh Ayurved varsity soon

Jaipur: To promote Wellness Tourism and Ayurveda in Rajasthan, facilities will be expanded at Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Rajasthan Ayurved University, Jodhpur, wherein, the Chemistry lab will be expanded along with setting up of an ‘International Centre of Excellence in Panchakarma’ and a ‘Drug Testing Lab’ in the university.

Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has given approval for proposals worth more than Rs 49.71 crore for the Centre of Excellence, Lab and various specialist services and facilities in Ayurveda University.

As per the proposal, an ‘International Centre of Excellence in Panchakarma’ will be set up at Ayurveda University at a cost of over Rs 43.81 crore.

With a view to promote Wellness Tourism, 100 beds facility will be available in this centre providing a stay in the natural environment. In this sequence, a total of 53 huts and 47 cottages including 9 super deluxe huts and 44 deluxe huts as well as huts for Panchakarma therapy will be constructed.

An artificial lake and administrative building will be set up at the Wellness Centre and various equipment will be procured. The centre will be operated on PPP mode by world-class companies and institutions specialised in the field of Panchakarma therapy and technical support for the centre will be provided by University experts.

A drug testing lab worth Rs 1 crore will be  set up & necessary furniture will be installed at a cost of Rs 60 lakh. The total construction cost of the lab is around Rs 5.10 crores with an expenditure of Rs.3.50 crore on procurement of various equipment.

For this lab, services of various personnel will be taken on a contract basis. Construction works worth Rs 80 lakh will be carried out to expand the University’s Chemistry School.

CM Ashok Gehlot greets people on Hindi Diwas

Jaipur: Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot greeted people of the state on the occasion of Hindi Diwas on Tuesday. Hindi has been a strong medium of expression and communication among the countrymen, he said, adding that it has kept the people as well as the Non-resident Indians united in a single thread.

Litterateurs have played a major role in making Hindi a rich, strong and mass language. He called upon the people to use Hindi in their daily life and take pride in it.

CM’s nod for new police stations in Jodhpur

Jaipur:  CM Gehlot has approved proposal to open a new police station, upgrade 3 police posts to police stations & open 3 new police check-posts in Jodhpur.

Creation of 233 new posts for the same, providing resources amounting to Rs 50.38 lakh, he  also sanctioned an amount of Rs. 7.30 crore for construction of buildings.

According to proposal, a new police station Mata Ka Thana will be opened in Police Commissionerate, Jodhpur. Police check post-Air Force, Bhagat ki Kothi & Pratapnagar will be upgraded to police station.

CM has approved Home Department’s proposal to open new police posts at Kirti Nagar under Police Station Mata KaThana, Kaylana Lake under Police Station Rajiv Gandhi Nagar Kaliberi under Police Station Sursagar.
