CM LAUNCHES 512 NEW INDIRA RASOI TO REALISE DREAM OF ‘KOI BHOOKHA NA SOYE’

Jodhpur: On Sunday afternoon, CM Ashok Gehlot, who had launched the Indira Rasoi scheme in August 2020, launched 512 new Indira Rasoi across the state through virtual medium. Addressing the program, Gehlot said, “Indira Rasoi Yojana is a milestone in Rajasthan. The theme is - no one should go to bed hungry. It has been appreciated across the country. In Indira Rasoi, a full meal is available for Rs 8. The previous BJP govt had started Annapurna Rasoi for Rs 5,” Gehlot said and also inaugurated an Indira Rasoi in the old Municipal Corporation premises of Jodhpur.

The CM was accompanied by Assembly Speaker Dr CP Joshi, PCC President Govind Singh Dotasra, MLAs Suryakanta Vyas, Krishna Poonia and Sanyam Lodha. Since it was nearing lunch time, during the course of program, therefore, after inaugurating Indira Rasoi, the CM took the food slip by paying Rs 10 at the counter. Addressing the program Sojati Gate Old Municipal Corporation building, Gehlot said, “Indira Gandhi made history and kept the country united for which she sacrificed her life. In the name of Indira Gandhi, the Indira Rasoi was started to provide facilities to the poor. This scheme was successful since its inception. In the time of Corona, we did not let anyone sleep hungry. No one died during Corona due to lack of oxygen. Moreover, an aid of Rs 5500 was given to 35 lakh people over 5 times. Now, Indira Gandhi Urban Employment Guarantee Scheme will provide 100 days of employment in cities.” Giving details about the Indira Rasoi, Gehlot said that so far 850 such kitchens have been started and 150 will start now. “7 crore thalis have been distributed so far. Officials from Gujarat and MP have come to see the plan.” Meanwhile, Dr CP Joshi expressed his thanks to RCA President Vaibhav Gehlot for building a new stadium. Joshi said. PCC Chief Dotasra also addressed the taunted the politicians of Jodhpur. Apologizing to Suryakanta Vyas, he said, “I am performing my dharma. People of Jodhpur are miserly when it comes to voting.”.
