CM: Late Katara’s life was devoted to service of poor

Udaipur: CM Ashok Gehlot, on Monday, unveiled the statue of former Minister late Khemraj Katara at the Satellite Hospital premises in Udaipur. Addressing the function organised after the unveiling of the statue, he said that late Katara’s life was devoted to the service of the tribals and the poor, and in times of famine, he went among the villagers and provided them with drinking water facilities. Gehlot said that late Katara created a different identity in public mind due to natural personality and work done in public service. “Patients are being served regularly in satellite hospital and a large number of people are taking health benefits in OPDIPD. His family is taking forward the idea of public service of late Katara,” the CM added.
