CM Gehlot lauds Jain community, allocates 10-bigha land to them

Jodhpur: CM Ashok Gehlot said that he studied in a Jain samaj school and most of his friends are from the Jain community. On the demand of Jain Samaj for 10-bigha land, Gehlot said that their demand is petty. He added that urban development minister Shanti Dhariwal is from same community. “In such a scenario, those who seek & those who give are same set of people,” he said. At the event, citing CM, PCC chief Govind Singh Dotasra said Dhariwal will again be UDH minister if Congress returns to power in the state. Gehlot assured the Jain samaj that they will get the piece of land since it is a small demand. He added they should form an organisation that can work for 36 other castes. Assembly Speaker CP Joshi said that more than trade, manufacturing is needed at present. “The Jain society has a huge potential and their contribution to GST is also immense. More manufacturing would mean more jobs.”
