CM Bhajan Lal Sharma highlights women empowerment initiatives
Udaipur: Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma launched several initiatives for women’s empowerment and welfare in Udaipur on Saturday. He announced 500 Kalika Patrolling Units for women’s safety, approved 250 units in the first phase, and launched the RSRTC Panic Button project. Under the ‘Lado Protsahan Yojana,’ Rs 2,500 was transferred to one lakh beneficiaries, and LPG subsidies were rolled out. The CM increased Anganwadi workers’ honorariums, initiated milk distribution under the Amrit Aahar Yojana, and approved new Anganwadi centres.
Electric cooking systems, revolving funds for SHGs, and loans through Mahila Nidhi Bank were also distributed. Scooties and cycles were provided to girl students, and welfare kits were distributed to specially-abled beneficiaries. Deputy CM Diya Kumari and other ministers commended these efforts, emphasizing the state’s commitment to women’s progress and empowerment.
