Clean temples will promote cleanliness in the society too, says LS Speaker Om Birla

Kota: Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Wednesday, cleaned various places at the Khade Ganeshji Temple as part of the ongoing Swachh Teerth campaign across the country on the call of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

He said that if the premises of our temples are clean, it will create a new awareness of cleanliness in the society too.

Despite reaching Kota late at night from Jaipur, Speaker Birla reached Ganeshji temple early in the morning on Wednesday and cleaned the temple after offering prayers.

Birla said that the devotees coming to the temple should also do Shramdaan here for some time. Birla also spoke to street vendors outside the temple. Social worker Pankaj Mehta, Director of Allen Institute Naveen Maheshwari & others were also present.

While attending the ‘Prakash Parv’ he said, “Guru Gobind Singh holds an important place in the history of India.”
