Chittorgarh: The face of Chanderia Railway Station in Chittorgarh is set to undergo a transformation, with a budget of 21 crores allocated for the project. Selected under the ‘Amrit Bharat Station Project,’ Chanderia Railway Station, situated in the heart of Chittorgarh, falls within the jurisdiction of three railway zones.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the virtual foundation stone-laying ceremony for all the proposed works four months ago. The makeover will include separate waiting rooms and toilets for male and female passengers, alongside the installation of CCTV cameras and internet services throughout the station premises.
From the entrance gate to every section, the renovation aims to attract passengers with its modern amenities. As part of the ‘One Station One Product’ scheme, the station will feature two stalls, a cafeteria area, and parking facilities. Moreover, wider pathways will be constructed to facilitate pedestrian movement.
To enhance visibility, the station building will be illuminated with decorative lights.
