‘Chishty’s words show his mindset’
Ajmer: Protests have intensified over the controversial remarks made by Ajmer Dargah Khadim Sarwar Chishty regarding women. On Monday, Deputy Mayor of Ajmer Municipal Corporation Neeraj Jain wrote a letter to the Chairperson of the National Commission for Women, Rekha Sharma, demanding legal action against Chishty. Jain wrote in the letter that it is highly condemnable for the Secretary to make such remarks regarding women.
Jain wrote in the letter that Chishty’s video is viral where he addresses women as a ‘thing’ which can sway the biggest men. He mentioned that Chishty was making an attempt to play the victim card after conspiring to save the culprits of the 1992 blackmail case in Ajmer. Jain said that Chishty’s statement shows his mindset towards women and girls.
