Centre not helping in construction of airport in Kota, says CM Gehlot
Kota: Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot inspected the proposed Greenfield Airport land in Kota on Thursday. Gehlot said that the state government is committed to the development of greenfield airport. “We took a decision in Cabinet and got 34 hectares of land transferred free of cost to Airport Authority by the Urban Development Trust, Kota. Besides, the first installment of diversion amount of Rs 21.13 crore was also given to Forest Dept. Despite this, Centre has not been able to start construction work. We have fulfilled the promises made in the airport development. Now Centre and local MP and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla should make efforts. Gehlot said that if the Central Government refuses to do so, the State Government will complete it with its own resources. Interestingly, CM Gehlot also reached the house of Congress MLA Bharat Singh.
