Sawai Madhopur: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Monday attacked the Centre over Agnipath scheme saying that after 4 years of service, Agniveers will be kicked out of the army. Rahul said that the dreams of crores of youth and farmers have been shattered. He said that the soldier who died for the country will be kept in the army for four years, will be made to work and then kicked out. “After four years, how will the youth fired from the army get employment?” he asked. Gandhi said that the Congress party did this or, all these things are correct but what has been done is not so important but what is going to be done is even more important. Rahul Gandhi also said that he has asked CM Ashok Gehlot to do two—three things. However, he did not elaborate. “Senior Congress leaders are walking with me. They also listen to what the public is saying to them. I am sure that the government will take action on those things in the coming time,” he said. In the address held at Kustla, Rahul Gandhi also praised the work of Gehlot government saying that the loans of 22 lakh farmers have been waived, electricity bill of 8 lakh farmers is zero and people of Rajasthan get benefited in Chiranjeevi Yojana. He also said that on the lines of MGNREGA, an employment guarantee scheme was introduced for urban areas and the state govt has implemented the OPS.
