CBI court’s warrant against MLA Poonia

Jodhpur: In a major blow to the Sadulpur MLA, Krishna Poonia, the Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CBI cases) in Jodhpur has rejected the closure report submitted by CBI in the case of suicide by Rajasthan police inspector Vishnu Dutt Vishnoi and issued a warrant against her. The court took cognizance of section 306 against her on the basis of the evidence and has now decided to proceed with hearing in the matter with regard to this fresh charge against Poonia summoning her through a bailable warrant on March 3 for hearing.

The court took cognizance of section 306 against her on the basis of the evidence and has now decided to proceed with hearing in the matter with regard to this fresh charge against Poonia summoning her through a bailable warrant on March 3 for hearing. With this order on Tuesday, the presiding officer of the court Pawan Kuamr Bishnoi, allowed the protest petition by brother of Bishnoi, who had committed suicide in his official quarter on May 24, 2020 alleging Poonia for harassing him by threatening him to implicate in the cases of fraud and bribery, if he did not complied her. Poonia said in Jaipur that she would be looking into her rights.
