Camps for silicosis awareness in 10 days
Jaipur: The State Mines Department has decided to organise camps to create awareness regarding silicosis. More than 30 camps will be organized in the next 10 days.
Additional Chief Secretary Mines and Petroleum Subodh Agarwal said that more than 10,000 citizens of the state have benefited from these camps. Agarwal said that camps are being organised in affected and potential areas with the joint cooperation of the medical department, mine holders, social organisations, etc. so that information about prevention, treatment, and facilities provided by the state government for silicosis can reach the people.
Director Mines Sandesh Nayak said that about 24 camps are being organised in the area of Superintendent Mineral Engineer Jaipur Circle. In the remaining 10 days of this month, 33 silicosis awareness and check-up camps will be organised.
Nayak said that facilities for check-up and medicines etc. are being provided to all the common citizens of the area in the camp.
