BSF jawans celebrate Rakshabandhan, female guards ties Rakhi to DIG Pushpendra Singh

Bikaner: BSF men guarding India’s borders in Bikaner were reminded of their families and their homes as women guards tied Rakhi’s (sacred thread) on their wrists on Raksha Bandhan on Wednesday. BSF DIG Pushpendra Singh Rathore said that this is our culture as our brothers take oath to protect their sisters and today women BSF guards tied rakhi to BSF jawans.

Women guard Manjeet Kaur said that she is missing home on this festival, but the soldiers posted at the border are also a part of her family and they also get solace by tying Rakhi on wrists of the soldiers.
