BJP insults tribals by calling them ‘Vanvasi’ instead of Adivasi: Rahul

Mangarh (Banswara): Addressing a rally at Mangarh Dham in Banswara on Wednesday, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi targeted the Centre regarding tribals and stressed that BJP and RSS want tribals to remain in the forest only. “We will give tribals their rights and respect. This is an insult not only to the tribals but to the entire country,” he said.

The tribals sacrificed their lives by fighting the British at the Mangarh Dham, and the country will always be grateful, he said. Extending his best wishes on the World Tribal Day, Gandhi criticised the BJP for calling tribal people “Vanvasi” instead of Adivasi, saying that it’s an insult to them.
