The Board of Directors should develop such a method that within a day of the application, the loan amount is in the applicant’s account. Apart from this, the committee should plan to give loans to help the deprived become selfreliant. Birla said that the functioning of the committee reflects the golden movement of the cooperative movement. “Its success has been significantly contributed by the Board of Directors, who are not only honest but also ensure transparency and accountability in the operations. That is why no money from committee has been lost in last hundred years and this is an example for other institutions,” he said.
