Birla inaugurates the Blanket Fund Project
Kota: Relatives of patients coming to Kota for treatment from distant and rural areas will no longer have to struggle with the cold and shivering. The Blanket Fund Service Project, which has been operational in Kota for over fifteen years, will now be available at the city’s two major hospitals, the Medical College and MBS, starting Saturday. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla inaugurated the project by distributing quilts and blankets to caregivers at the Medical College campus.
Speaker Birla said that through the Blanket Fund, blankets and quilts would be provided free of charge to the caregivers of patients admitted to the hospitals to protect them from the cold. Our aim is to ensure that no person is deprived of treatment due to lack of money. In the future, we will set up a center at both hospitals so that no one feels absence of family.
Shelters to be built at both hospitals Birla said that shelters and canteens would be constructed within the hospital premises for the caregivers.
