Bhilwara minor cremated, her father admitted in ICU

Bhilwara: The remains of 14-yearold gangrape victim, who was thrown into a coal furnace in Bhilwara, were cremated in her village on Monday. During the last rites, the victim’s father attempted to jump into the funeral pyre but people present there saved him. Later, the victim’s father fell unconscious and had to be admitted to the district hospital’s ICU.

According to information, the police handed over the remains of the gangrape victim to the relatives after post-mortem. After this, the last rites were performed. The minor’s father was inconsolable for not being able to see his daughter’s face for the last time. He had last seen her as chirpy girl on Wednesday morning.

Meanwhile, PHED Minister Mahesh Joshi met the victim’s family and consoled them. He said, “I assure that strict action would be taken against the accused.”
