Bhandari bats for Rajasthani as official language, RYC writes to CM Gehlot
Jodhpur: The demand to make Rajasthani the official language has gained momentum. On Monday, RANA President Prem Bhandari and former JNVU Students’ Union President Ravindra Singh Bhati held a joint press conference in Jodhpur while Rajasthani Youth Committee has warned of a dharna and hunger strike if Rajasthani is not made the official language.
On behalf of the institute, youths from every district have given a memorandum in the name of CM Ashok Gehlot to the Collector and called upon them to meet the committee by February 3. Bhandari said that the issue of recognition of Rajasthani language is related to the pride of all Rajasthanis for which they have been struggling for years, but the politicians haven’t addressed this.
Ex- Students’ Union President RS Bhati said that panel has sought an appointment to meet CM. “The committee has vowed to protest in Jaipur to make Rajasthani the official language. 160 MLAs of Raj govt have written a letter in this regard, whose copy has been sent to CM many times.”
