Barmer: Two more die due to drowning, death toll rises to 9

Barmer: Two more people, including one woman, died in Barmer district in rain related incidents caused by Cyclone Biparjoy, taking the total death toll in the district to 9.

On Wednesday late night one woman died by drowning in Barmer and her brother-in-law died while attempting to save her from drowning.

In another incident in Nagaur, a mother along with her daughter committed suicide by jumping into a water body in Mundwa area of Nagaur district on Thursday.

While two other children died after being drowned in a pond as they slipped and couldn’t swim back in Rajsamand district on Thursday.
