Barmer Dalit man murder: Kin refuses to take body on 3rd day

Barmer: The protest continued on the third day due to which the deceased body could not be cremated even on Friday. However talks between the protestors and authorities were on, but as per last report, it failed in creating any consensus.

The family members of the victim refused to accept the body till their demands are not fulfilled. Protesters are demanding immediate arrest of the accused, action on the police personnel who ignored prompt action, re-opening the cases lodged by Kojaram, compensation of Rs 1 crore and a government job for the 2 family members of the deceased. Leader of ‘Sc/ST Ekta Manch’, Udaram Meghwal, confirmed the move.'

Later, protestors reached the collector’s office where they once again gave the memorandum to the Barmer district collector.
