‘Barefoot’ MLA Prajapat offered silver shoes

Barmer: Congress MLA Madan Prajapat’s barefoot protest has been rewarded with “Silver” shoes by the people of Balotra after the announcement of Balotra becoming a new district. People of Balotra have gifted a pair of “silver” shoes to the MLA who pledged to remain barefoot till his demands are not met. Prajapat had been barefoot for over 388 days in demand of making Balotra a district.

He removed his shoes outside the assembly gate on February 23, 2022, after his demand was not addressed in the last year’s budget. He pledged to remain barefoot until his demand was met.
