As victim dies, tension simmers in lake city
Udaipur: The news of the death of Devraj, a school student who was injured in a knife attack on August 16 in Udaipur after undergoing four days of treatment in a hospital, has shocked the entire state. The administration prepared the family for the postmortem process and increased security at the hospital. Home State Minister Jawahar Singh Bedham urged people to remain calm, expressing sadness over the incident and calling for community harmony.
Heavy police force was deployed outside the hospital. Earlier, around 2:15 PM, Devraj’s sisters, Suhani and her cousins, tied a rakhi to him at the hospital, praying for his long life after receiving approval from the Collector.
Meanwhile, to obtain the factual details of the tragic incident in Udaipur, the Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee formed an investigative team. This team will meet with the victim’s family, share their grief, and assure them of justice, while gathering all information related to the incident.
The investigative team will soon present a detailed report of the events to the Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee. The senior leaders included in the investigative team are Bhajanlal Jatav, Udailal Anjana, Ramlal Jat and Tarachand Meena.
