Ajmer: The Ajmer unit of ACB team on Wednesday arrested Yakub Baksh for taking a bribe of Rs 95,000 from the complainant. Baksh is the Assistant Admin Officer-cum Reader of Ajmer Divisional Commissioner BL Mehra.

ACB ADG (Addl. Charge of DG) Hemant Priyadarshy said that a complaint was received at Ajmer unit that the accused was seeking Rs 1.50 lakh as bribe to deliver a decision in favour of the complainant in appeal against the sentence given in the departmental proceedings. The complaint was verified under supervision of DIG Sameer K Singh and DSP Rakesh Verma and a trap was laid in which the accused was nabbed on Wednesday. The accused had received Rs 5,000 during verification of the complaint.
