Accused AdSP sent to jail till Feb 3 for graft

Ajmer: Special Operation Group’s Additional SP Divya Mittal, arrested in a Rs 2 crore bribery case, was presented in Ajmer court by Jaipur ACB on Friday. The court sent Mittal to jail till February 3. The Jaipur ACB is looking for the dismissed constable Sumit, who has been absconding. His arrest would provide important clues in the case. DySP Mangilal of Jaipur ACB said that the Mittal was presented in Ajmer court for 15 days JC remand. The judge ordered that Mittal be sent to judicial custody until February 3.

Earlier on Thursday, the State Home Department had issued the suspension orders against Mittal. A searh operation was also carried out by the ACB team to recover Mittal’s mobile phone and other documents, which she had reportedly disposed of in the Anasagar Lake.
