Accounts officer held with Rs 5K bribe for pension paper work

Jodhpur: The Special Team of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Jodhpur arrested Dinesh Kumar Soni, Assistant Accounts Officer of the Local Bodies Department, redhanded while accepting a bribe of Rs 5,000. He had taken the amount in lieu of preparing papers related to pension of an employee retired from the department, said ACB ASP Dr. Durg Singh Rajpurohit. “After verification of the complaint, a trap was held and the complainant was sent to Soni with bribe amount, which Soni put in his pocket. The ACB team raided the spot and nabbed him red handed. Moreover, a search was initiated at Soni’s house at Pal road as well,” the ASP said.
