ACB nabs ASI for taking Rs 15,000 bribe in Tonk

Tonk: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) apprehended Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Shankarlal from the women’s police station in Tonk district for accepting a bribe of Rs 15,000. The bribe was taken from a complainant in exchange for resolving a complaint filed by the complainant’s wife at the Tonk Mahila Police Station. ASI Shankarlal had initially demanded Rs 20,000 for the resolution.

The arrest was made on the spot by an ACB team led by Additional SP Vijay Swarnakar from ACB Kota. The operation was carried out within the police station premises, ensuring that the accused was caught red-handed. This action underscores the ACB’s commitment to combating corruption within law enforcement agencies.
