Tonk: Mahant Sant Siyaram Das was murdered by unknown miscreants in Bhuriya Mahadev Temple located in the town. As soon as the information was received, Diggi police station officer Ayub Khan and SP Rajarshi Raj Verma, along with the FSL team from Tonk reached the spot and collected evidence. The dog squad team also arrived from Jaipur and inspected the spot. The markets in the town were closed after the saint’s murder.

Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat targeted CM Ashok Gehlot. Shekhawat tweeted that it was very sad to hear about the brutal murder of a famous Mahant Saint Siyaram Das Baba Ji of Tonk region.

In the murder case of Siyaram Baba in Diggi, the state unit of BJP has formed a committee to investigate the case. BJP state president CP Joshi has formed an organizational inquiry committee wherein MP Swami Sumedhanand Saraswati, MP Mahant Baba Balak Nath and MP Sukhbir Singh Jaunpuria will go to Diggi and submit a report to CP Joshi in this regard.
