9 newly appointed judges take oath at High Court, Jodhpur

Jodhpur: Chief Justice Pankaj Mithal administered the oath to the newly appointed nine additional judges at a function organised at Rajasthan High Court’s main bench in Jodhpur on Monday. Three judges were appointed from advocate quota and six judges from judicial officer quota.

From the advocate quota AAG Ganesh Ram Meena and Anil Upman from Jaipur and Nupur Bhati from Jodhpur were administered oath. Rajendra Prakash Soni, Ashok Kumar Jain, Yogendra Kumar Purohit, Bhuvan Goyal, Praveer Bhatnagar and Ashutosh Kumar took oath as HC judges from the judicial officer quota. After appointment of these 9 judges, the number of judges has increased to 35 in the HC while total strength is 50 judges. With the appointment of Nupur Bhati, now the number of women judges has gone up to three. Now Shubha Mehta, Rekha Borana and Nupur Bhati are the women judges.
