9 die in separate accidents in Anupgarh and Dausa
Anupgarh/Dausa: Six people, including 5 women died in a road accident in Anupgarh when their car rammed into a trailer in front on Friday. They were returning from Kikrawali after attending condolence meet. Meanwhile in Dausa, a speeding car crushed 11 people sleeping by the roadside in Mahwa town. 3 died while 8 injured on Thursday. All deceased and injured belonged to the nomadic tribes.
DSP Amarjit Chawla said that the deceased have been identified as Hetram (45), Sunita (42), Lichma Devi (55), Vidya Devi (40), Kalavati Devi (48) and Kanta (35). The driver of the car, Ramesh (38), tried to overtake the trailer going towards Raisinghnagar. Meanwhile, a bus was coming from Raisinghnagar towards Anupgarh. The driver could not overtake and collided with the trailer. After the accident, the driver of the trailer fled the spot.
In Dauas, a speeding car crushed 11 people sleeping by the roadside in Mahwa town. Three people died while eight were seriously injured. Two injured are undergoing treatment in the government hospital in Mahwa, while six seriously injured have been referred to Jaipur. The accident happened on Thursday night. Police have confiscated the car.
