50 Sewing Machines as Bhai Dooj gift by Birla

Kota: Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Wednesday presented sewing machines to 50 women, giving them a gift of self-reliance on the occasion of Bhai Dooj. He also called upon the society to come forward to make needy women self-reliant. Addressing the program organized by Lions Club, Birla said that only by making collective efforts, the last person in the society can be empowered. “Prime Minister Narendra Modi says that if the country has to be made self-reliant, then every person has to be made self-reliant,” he said. “The more we buy locally made products and services, the more self-reliance will increase,” he added. Birla said that efforts should also be made to make available the clothes made by the women, who have been given sewing machines, in the market. Most of these women are those whose husbands died due to corona or other reasons. Now these women will take care of the family by sewing cloths. On the other hand, Birla reached among the people in Kota on Tuesday and wished them a happy Diwali.
