5-member SIT formed; 7 held and 4 detained

Pratapgarh: A five-member SIT has been constituted under the supervision of Additional Director General of Police Crime Dinesh MN to investigate the case of a tribal woman paraded naked in a market in Pratapgarh.

The team includes Additional Superintendent of Police SIUCAW Pratapgarh Rishikesh Meena, CO Dhariawad Dhanphool Meena, CO Mavli Udaipur Kailash Kunwar, SHO Dhariawad Peshawar Khan and women constable Pooja from cyber police station, Pratapgarh.

Mishra said that police station Dhariyavad under relevant sections of IPC, Women’s Indecent Control Act and IT Act has started investigation by naming the accused. He said that 30 teams were formed and within 12 hours the police detained the main accused Kanha.
