5 killed, 10 hurt as dumper hits bus, other vehicles
Dausa: A dumper rammed into a bus and three motorcycles in Lalsot in Dausa district of Rajasthan, killing five people and injuring 10 others on Sunday, police said. The injured have been sent to higher centres for treatment.
Station House Officer of Lalsot, Mahavir Singh, said initial investigation found that the accident took place as the brakes of the dumper failed.
The bodies have been kept in a mortuary for identification and postmortem, while the injured have been admitted to a hospital.
MLA Rambilas Meena reached the police station and took information about the accident. He expressed annoyance over the entry of heavy vehicles in the city. He asked why heavy vehicles are passing through the city even after the orders of SDM. He said earlier home guards were deployed at all the entry points and why have they been removed now. The crowd gathered at the Lalsot bus stand and SDM Vijendra Meena reached and persuaded the people. He assured the people to get the orders of no entry strictly followed and also compensation to the deceased as per the rule. Later the crowd went away and the dumper was taken to the police station. Governor Haribhau Bagade, Chief Minister Bhajan lal Sharma, BJP president Madan Rathore and others expressed their condolences on this accident.
