44 CRIMINALS HELD IN SEPARATE POLICE CRACKDOWN IN JODHPUR

Jodhpur: In a major action against habitual criminals, the Jodhpur (East) police conducted raids on several spots in the city on Saturday.

About 60 teams of 400 policemen raided the houses of 62 history sheeters at once and arrested 44 habitual criminals. Illegal opium, Doda chura (opium), ganja, hookah, liquor, sword and sharp weapons were recovered and cases have been registered against 10 criminals.

The police also seized suspicious Maruti K10, Mahindra Scorpio and Renault Duster vehicles.
DCP East Dr Amrita Duhan said that instructions have been given by the Police Headquarters to launch a special operation against habitual criminals in the city.

60 teams simultaneously raided the houses of 62 history sheeters on Saturday morning. There were 28 raids in the Mandore area, 16 in an east circle, and 18 in the central circle, where locations of 28 history sheeters were raided and an intense search was carried out. Also, four habitual criminals were arrested and four cases were registered in Mandore circle and six habitual criminals were arrested in circle east by registering six cases.
