40-yr-old Dalit man beaten to death in Barmer

Barmer: A 40-year-old dalit man was beaten to death by some upper caste people in Rajasthan’s Barmer district. Incident, that took place on Wednesday morning under Girab police station area in Barmer. Digant Anand, superintendent of police in Barmer confirmed the report. It is informed that an old rivalry led to the incident, police said.

Police identified the deceased as Kojaram Meghwal (40), a resident of Asadi village in Barmer. It is informed that the incident took place on Wednesday morning when the victim was grazing the cattle in his field. In the meantime, around 7-8 accused reached there and attacked him with the sticks.

SP Digant Anand himself visited the Asadi village and took stock of the situation.
