4 UP IAS officers retiring in July
Lucknow: Four IAS officers are retiring from the bureaucracy of Uttar Pradesh in July in which 3 IAS officers are of secretary rank. Among these are 2 IAS officers who have the responsibility of commissioner of Chitrakoot and Jhansi.
After a long time in bureaucracy, all the IAS officers who are retiring are SCS i.e. IAS have been made from State Cadre Service. The first among these is IAS Narendra Singh Patel who is currently serving as Secretary and Director of Silk Department. Narendra Singh Patel, who was DM of Basti, Mau, Ghazipur and Sonbhadra, is retiring on 31st July!
Meanwhile the second officer is IAS Dinesh Kumar Singh, the commissioner Chitrakoot who has served as the DM of Sonbhadra, Muzaffarnagar, Chitrakoot and Jaunpur. Singh will retire on 31st July.
The third officer is IAS Dr Ajay Shankar Pandey who is the commissioner Jhansi and has served as DM in Muzaffarnagar and Ghaziabad. He too will retire on 31st July.
The fourth officer - Dr. Ashok Chandra - is Special Secretary, Women Welfare & Child Development department and has also served as DM of Kannauj and Etawah.
Out of 4 officers retiring in July from UP’s bureaucracy, 3 IAS officers have a good charge. Now, all eyes are on the appointments made after the retirement of these officers. However, perhaps the most interesting aspect is the retirement of the most powerful officer of the UP bureaucracy - IAS Awanish Awasthi - serving as ACS Home who is due for retirement in August. But, there is a word going around that perhaps he may be given extension by the government.
