3 minors held for killing teacher for being obstacle in love affair

Jhalawar: Three minor students were detained by Jhalawar Police on Friday for allegedly killing government teacher and noted poet Shiv Charan Sain after he interfered in a love affair of a school student.

Jhalawar SP Richa Tomar informed that Shiv Charan Sain is a renowned Hadoti language poet and was posted at Government Senior Secondary School, Girdharpura of Jhalrapatan town.

“One of the accused had a love affair with a girl studying in the same school. When Shiv Charan came to know about his affair, he scolded the boy and even informed his parents. However, when the accused resisted, Shiv Charan expelled him from the school.

Fuming over his expulsion, the accused hatched a conspiracy to kill the teacher,” said Jhalawar SP Richa Tomar. “The deceased was then stabbed multiple times on April 4 by the three students while he was returning home from school. He was admitted to SRG Hospital in Jhalawar but died during treatment,” added Jhalawar SP Richa Tomar.
