2nd day of music festival mesmerises audience with folk songs

Jodhpur: Rajasthan International Folk Festival (Riff) is being jointly hosted by Mehrangarh Museum Trust and Jaipur Virasat Foundation.On the second day of five-day Riff, there was a wave of hymns in Jaswant Thada in morning. Apart from this, in Mahrangarh Fort different presentations by folk artists throughout the day attracted the attention of domestic and foreign guests. Here audience were forced to dance on the traditional folk dance of the artists. When the folk artists performed Nirguna songs, the whole atmosphere was tied up. During this, former Naresh Gaj Singh and Hemlata Rajya also reached there and encouraged the folk artists. This morning on Jaswant thada started with pleasing hymns,when folk art sinked in the pink cold The foreign tourists were overwhelmed by hymnby the Bhajans. Director of Jodhpur Riff Mahotsav, Divya Bhatia said that this morning in Jaswant Thada complex, this time under Riff Don, music artists of Meghwal community performed bhajans. This was followed by performances of Padmashree Anwar Khan, Lakha and Pepa Manganiyar in traditional folk dances Chang, Gair, Terah-Tali, Kalbelia and Living Legends at the Fort Festival. During this, the domestic and foreign tourists, spectators and listeners who came could not stop themselves from dancing. Artists of Malani Sanskriti Kala Kendra presented a splendid Gair dance at Daulat Khana Chowk, Mehrangarh. Domestic and foreign audience enjoyed. ‘Women’s Voice of Raj’ happened in Chowklav Bagh in eve.
